Upcoming Tasting

Le Paradou is a young project created in conjunction with Frédéric Chaudière whose family produces some of the most respected wines in the Southern Rhone AOC of Côtes du Ventoux. The wines carry the name of the centuries-old farmhouse, Le Paradou, belonging to Frédéric’s family. The vines, ranging in age between 40 and 60 years old, are cultivated in accordance with the laws of Terra Vitis, an organization that ensures that properties respect the environment in which the vines are grown and stresses the benefits of integrated farming.

The vineyard sites are all at high altitudes in the mountains of the Luberon and as such, produce wines with good acidity and bright fruit as opposed to the more dense and rich bottlings coming from the valley floor. The bottlings are created exclusively from estate-grown fruit and see no wood before bottling to ensure that the vibrancy of the fruit of this area shines through. These wines are excellent value for your money and we're excited to be pouring them for you this week. You can look forward to a special discount on these tasting bottles this Friday too... doesn't get any better than that!

Interesting New Arrivals:

Barista Pinotage - Love coffee, but hate Pinotage? Let this South African wonder prove you wrong. Rich coffee and cocoa flavours that are so intense, you might ask us if it's infused with java... nope, it's not, but it will blow your mind what grapes can taste like! $19.95

Las Perdices Torrontes - The staff is floored with this amazing, aromatic, crisp, juicy little number from Argentina. The value you get from it is great, and it's new to BC. A good dinner party bottle. $16.85

Unconventional Wisdom 'Told you so' Viognier - From the makers of Elephant Island fruit wines comes the sister winery, one of the newest in BC. A big-fruit Viognier augmented with 10 percent Sauvignon Blanc, fermented in 100% French Oak: aromatic and mellow, with hints of rhubarb, apricots, and mineral edges. Gorgeous every sip of the way. $25.50

Punch in the Face Shiraz By R Wines - As quoted from the back label: "If you had something light and fruity in mind, then you'd best be pushn' off, mate. This one ain't no tea party. It's a good ol' fashion, big ass, Southern Aussie Shiraz that'll sort you out in no time flat. Chock a block full of jam 'n' spice with a smart little whack of oak." $24.10

Lots of new
Silver Sage Products in stock! People have been demanding, so here we have it, one of the very few (too few in fact) places you can try Silver Sage's The Flame, The Grand Sage and Midnight Tango (Merlot & Pinot Noir, yum!), not to mention their Pinot Blanc and Gewurtztraminer. Get them while they last!
